Call me obsessed...

... but I just had to share one more picture!

This is how I'm greeted on my way from the parking garage to the entrance of our office building in the morning:

I like this time of day best (for the flowers .... not because I'm starting my work day!).

How many phonebooks does one household need?

I finally got around to organizing the phonebooks that seem to have multiplied overnight. I thought surely half of them are outdated and can be thrown away. I was wrong. They are ALL current!!

I know, however, I have to keep them all because as soon as I throw one out, that will be the one I need! That is the way my luck runs.

We've upgraded a few things in this house, starting with installing ceiling fans in the bedrooms (with the exception of the master bedroom, which had one). About a year later, we put a granite countertop in in the kitchen. Somewhere along the way, we purchased a new faucet for the downstairs bathroom, because the builder's choice was bad (standard, aka "cheap"). Trying to wash your hands in that sink was ridiculous. You couldn't even fit your hands under the faucet without hitting the sink wall. It was really annoying. Finally, today, hubby put the new faucet in. Yes, it's prettier, but more importantly, functional. What a difference when washing your hands!

Can you tell which is the old and which is the replacement? (lol)

I had a busy week this week.

Tuesday night, I attended a seminar for writers. I was late and didn't get much out of it. The speaker was all over the place; kept going off on tangents. I wonder if she writes like that?!

Wednesday night I recorded my segment at the radio station. Not my normal night, but I had to switch because I had another commitment on my 'normal' night (Thursdays).

Thursday night was a company thing. Drinks and appetizers to say goodbye and good luck to a coworker. He was in my dept. and is relocating to the West Coast for a sales position. I am going to miss him greatly. He worked with me when I first started. We get along really well. Oh, get your mind out of the gutter. I'm old enough to be his mother !

It is really refreshing to have met someone that is intelligent, hard-working and sincere at that age. Others his age in that office are L-A-Z-Y. But, I know he'll be a success in this career move and all future endeavors. His replacement has huge shoes to fill !!

Work won't be nearly as fun.
