The Pots & Pan War

My friend's thoughts about wanting a conveyor belt to wisk the ever-growing dirty dishes outside inspired my return after a very long absence. Aren't you all lucky?

My problem, however, isn't the ever-growing dirty dishes .... it's the ever-growing CLEAN pots & pans!

Each evening, I wash the pots and pans that were used for dinner and leave them in the dishrack to dry. Hubby, when not travelling, will make himself breakfast. Most of the time I find them left dirty in the sink. But, once in a while, he'll wash them and place them ON TOP of what's already by now dried in the rack. And, if I don't put the stuff away, he'll just keep piling whatever he's washed on top of it.

Hence, the pots & pan war has evolved. Let me explain the chain of events in the picture below.

1) The two large pots were placed on the counter so he could get to something that was underneath. I've left them there.

2) The next day, the two pans and spatula were removed from the rack and placed on the counter, again, so he could retrieve an item that was underneath them.

3) He did end up washing the small pot, blue plastic cup, and coffee travel mug. Instead of emptying out what was already there, he just placed everything on top. The coffee mug and small pot lid are especially driving me crazy.
