How Difficult is it ...

to turn off a light?!?

Enter a room ON
Exit a room OFF

I thought a fairly easy concept to follow, but apparently I was wrong!!!!

Hi Bobbi,

A few years ago I called the Power Company to get their input on the "how difficult is it" problem. Here is their response.

Only turn off the light if you don't plan on returning to the room for more than two minutes. (the power to start the standard light bulb is the same as having it on for two minutes).

However when I used my new found knolege on my last girlfriend, after I had left the light's on AGAIN! She pointed out the fact that the average man's memory is less than 2 seconds when it came to remembering that he left the lights on.

Busted but reformed.

Hi Chris. OMG, my husband made that same phone call. His reasoning has always been, "I'm going back into the room." Yeah... at the end of the night to turn it, the t.v. -- oh, and computer -- off.

Hi Andrea. Exactly! Although... the wet towel makes it back onto the towel rack now instead of hanging over the shower curtain rod (I know unbelievable, huh?)!! Does that mean I can't complain? NAH!!

OMG thats so funny Bobbi, what was the answer they gave him?

I now turn off the switch every time I leave the room. This however has created other problems, especialy in public bathrooms.
