This is the last pic from my hometown. Do you happen to remember the Bartles & James commercials? Where "Bartles" and "James" are sitting on a porch? They were filmed here.

Really, I wonder what connection your home town had with film and music?
There are a lot of people in the entertainment industry in this and surrounding towns. Everyone from actors and musicians to people behind the scenes producing, directing, etc. So, I would say these locations are "found" based on people in the industry knowing the area.
Some celebrities get real involved in their communities, while others live there so that they can maintain a relatively normal life for their families. When I was a kid, one of my softball coaches was a well-known stage and screen actress (this was in the 70s, mind you). She was such a terrific lady!

Well that explains it. I had guessed that at least on person in the industry must live in the area.
I have always loved the history of places and old houses. Thank you for sharing your trip and home town with us.
